That said, the journal and it's writers were strove to maintain indological research quality. <br />That said, the preoccupations of academic writing and research partly reflect the ruling polity and the ruling classes and their interests. After all Indology and sanskrit studies themselves were kicked off by colonial administrators who drew their salary from The Company and were determined to make the best of Colonialism.
